This Ankle Boot Development Is Going to Be HUGE in three Months' Time

If you showed 14-year old me a list of my new season must-haves, I think she would be in paroxysms of delight. Yes that's right, noughties fashion is back, elbowing its way into the fashion industry's collective consciousness with gems such as cowl-neck dresses, scarf tops and sheath dresses springing up across the board. However, for those who still feel scarred by memories of their noughties' fashion choices (guilty as charged) can rest easy as designers have done a great job of refreshing these iconic looks. Cowboy boots are one of the latest styles to be given the 2018 treatment, with brand heavyweights, including Calvin Klein, Dior Vetements and Miu Miu, welcoming cowboy boots with open arms. I'm personally swooning over Ganni's monochrome iterations, which have been spotted on countless Instagram accounts. I'll be wearing mine with a gingham sun dress now then with cropped flares and '70s shirt come autumn. Now that's what you call a hard-working trend. Scroll down to see how our favourite Insta-stars styled their cowboy boots and shop our edit.

Style Notes: Since moving to Austin, fashion editor Anna Vitiello has wholeheartedly embraced the cowboy boot trend. We love how she has mixed up the style with a pair of luxe tracksuit bottoms.
Style Notes: A pair of sturdy Lucchese cowboy boots is the perfect addition to Habben's Paul & Joe gingham dress. Simple yet effective.
Style Notes: Never one to pass on a trend, Emili Sindlev has nabbed herself a pair of Ganni's must-have monochrome boots. Prepare to see these styles everywhere over the coming months.
Style Notes: Our fave over 50 fashion blogger Renia Jazdzyk makes this lilac suit look a million dollars with a pair of white western boots.
