Spotted first on the A/W 17 catwalks and then all over S/S 18, the midaxi made its wearable fashion wave at the likes of the Dior and Céline shows, and the high street was quick to jump on the bandwagon—as have a host of influencers you can see from our edit of perfect midaxi-centric looks below.
As skirts go, there are few items more flattering and transitional than the humble midi skirt, from work to weekend it’s easy-going appeal certify’s its place in every wardrobe and the midaxi is about to take its spot—especially when it's now also rendered in a slimmer-fit pencil silhouette for the season.
Still confused? Well, think of this hybrid hem as the midi’s modest counterpart. The name comes from midi and maxi due to its inbetween-y length. It’s equally as wearable but actually more flattering. Finishing an inch or so lower than the midi but effectively cutting you at the most flattering part of your leg (below the calf). Sold.
