Topshop once revealed that it sells one pair of jeans every 10 seconds. Most of us will have owned a pair of the Jamie jeans at one point or other, but in 2018, the spray-on skinny Joni is the key seller. This year, Topshop has launched four new styles of jeans to the mix, including the perfect cropped kick-flares and a flared version of the Jamie. Denim shopping is something many of us put off—wiggling into a pair of skinnies in a starkly lit changing room isn't exactly fun. But I went into the Topshop changing rooms armed with as many jeans as the team would let me take in so I can tell you the six jeans that you should try. If you want to buy something other than the Jamie this year, keep scrolling to see and shop the best Topshop jeans right now.
I had to go back to Topshop and add the Orsons to my try-on list because someone in the office told me they always seemed to be sold out whenever she tried to find one. And I can see that these could become a new cult buy. I really liked the length, as they fall just above the ankle, and they are a really flattering slim-leg fit.
The flared Jamie jeans are one of the new styles. They have all of the leg-lengthening qualities of traditional flares but aren't too wide, so they aren't as "retro" or intimidating as other styles.
The Dree is another new addition, and it's my favourite style at Topshop right now. These cropped kick-flares have a flattering high waistband and frayed hems. There are 13 versions available, but the indigo denim with contrast stitching is the most 2018.
These are really statement jeans, as they have a super-wide leg and thus won't be for everyone, but I like the fit of the waist, and they'd look great with both ankle boots and sandals.
These straight-leg jeans are a new favourite at Topshop and were popular during London Fashion Week with the Instagram set.
When it comes to novelty jeans, instead of embroidery or embellishment, this season it's all about racer stripes down each leg. You'll find a striped version of most of Topshop's signature jeans.
